Seniors - The seniors qualified for the league semi-finals when they defeated Magheracloone 1-12 to 0-11 in a low key contest last Sunday. In a game where both teams fielded short of several regulars it was a strong first half showing that sealed the points for Blayney. An early goal from Aidan Ward allied with some excellent point taking from Keith Hill in particular saw them lead by nine points at the interval. Magheracloone introduced some of their more established players in the second half and gradually whittled Blayneys lead down to two points as the game entered its final ten minutes but two more Hill points sealed a Blayney victory.

Senior Fixture - Blayney and Magheracloone must do battle again this weekend in the semi-final of the league, the game takes place on Saturday evening in Inniskeen with a 7.00PM throw-in.

AGM - The club AGM will take place this year on Wednesday 1st of December in the Enterprise Centre, as with recent years the meeting will be preceded by mass for deceased members of the club.

Sporting Auction - The O'Connor family are hosting a sporting auction to raise funds for Castleblayney Cancer Society in memory of the late Liam "Barber" O'Connor who passed away earlier this year. The event takes place in Corrigans Kitchen on Friday 3rd of December. Any help or support would be greatly appreciated.

Scόr Na nOg: With the night's drawing in and action on the field winding down the focus moves to off the field activities and after a gap of a couple of years the club are delighted to be returning to Scόr Na nOg. Our acts will perform in one of the semi-finals which take place in Tullycorbett on November 26th and in Tydavnet on November 27th with the final in Ardaghey on Saturday, December 4th. More details over the coming weeks.

Winter Training Programme - The programme continues tonight (Thursday) with Boys U6 at Rath na nOg (6-7PM), Girls U6/U8/U10 in the Convent gym (6-7PM), Boys U8 on the Convent Astroturf (6-7PM) and Boys U10 Convent Astroturf (7-8PM).
