Winter Training Programme – Tonight (Thursday) sees the launch of the juvenile winter training programme at the Concert Hall, Our Lady’s Secondary School between 7-8PM. Last year almost 150 kids between the ages of 5-10 attended the programme and were coached in the skills and techniques involved in Gaelic football whilst also having fun and hopefully this year will be just as successful. Come along to hear our plans for this year and bring the kids with you as there will be coaches with fun activities lined up for them on the night. Hunt for a Hunk – The “Hunt for the Hunk” is almost upon us and the hunks are raring to go, rumour has it that Paddy Mallon has been canvassing for votes around the town already. Please make an effort to support the event as not only will you be supporting the Faughs,part of the proceeds on the night will be donated to The Cormac McAnallen Trust and to the Helping Hand Foundation. The event takes place in The Comet on Saturday 16th October at 9.00PM sharp. Tickets are now on sale at a cost of €10 and can be obtained from Loughman Sports, Ned Kellys or any committee member.

Senior Fixtures – The seniors play their last two league games over the coming weeks and are well placed for a semi-final spot. First up they travel to Magheracloone on Saturday the 16th and the following Saturday they play Latton at home, both games have 4.00PM throw-ins.
 
County Manager - Best of luck to Faughs man Eamon McEnaney on his appointment last night as Monaghan senior football manager.


GR8 – Dermot McArdle and GR8 are now offering an after school club, Monday-Friday from 3PM-6PM, fee €6. They also hold parent & toddler groups Tuesday & Friday 10.30-12.30, fee €4.

Lotto - Lotto numbers for the week ending 27th Sept 2010 were 01, 04, 14 and 22. There was no Jackpot winner; two people matched 3 numbers to win €75 each; Declan Connolly, Delvin, Doohamlet and Ann Quigley, Cois Locha, Doohamlet. Next week's jackpot is €11,000.
