RESULTS AND NEWS FROM LAST SATURDAY
In what was another historic week for the club, in what has been a ground breaking season, we had 1st and 2cnd Open winners in the Fermoy County Cork race. Stephen O Brien pipped Packie Coughlan by just a matter of seconds, indeed by a decimal point, in a great race and brings the club national and international recognition congratulations to both fanciers.
Their were over 20,000 birds flying from Fermoy and to win it was a great achievement for Stephan but the club in general had a great day taking the first 8 places in the Orchard Combine which includes the Armagh clubs This is the 3rd Open winner for the club this season which has probably never been achieved before in the Clubs over 100 year history.
The winning bird was 1st club1st section, 1st Open and 1st in the Orchard combine and it will be recognized in the British Homing World magazine, the bible of the sport.
