The Football Association of Ireland have announced that they will not be renewing the contract of Monaghan native Sean McCaffrey which is due to expire at the end of this year.  The former Monaghan United and Oriel Celtic boss has managed the Republic’s Under 17-18 and Under 19 teams for the last 7 years with varying success. Prior to taking the post Sean had worked since 1999 as a regional development officer for the F.A.I. Well connected in soccer circles it is expected that it will not be too long before the popular Monaghan man acquires a new position in the game.
