| FAI/FORD CUP Quarter Final. Monaghan United opponents in the quarter final of the FAI/Ford Cup will be the Sligo Rovers who the will also meet in the final of the EA Sports Cup the following week. Once again Sligo will have home advantage as the game will be in the Showgrounds, the date will probably be Saturday 18th September.
