Seniors - The seniors defeated Drumhowan 1-22 to 0-07 in their senior football championship on Sunday evening last. Blayney were on the offensive from the 1 st minute and a succession of points from Keith Hill (0-3,2f), Gary Ward and Niall Duffy established an early lead and then in the 15 th minute Patrick Tavey finished to the net the game with the game’s only goal. There was to be no let up from Blayney they tagged on another 5 points through Hill (2), Duffy, Treacy and Ciaran Hanratty to effectively end the game as a contest before Drumhowan opened their account in the 22 nd minute. This was to signal Drumhowans best period as they scored six points either side of half time to reduce the arrears to eight points.
