Presentation Night
The Club will hold its first ever presentation night tomorrow night, Friday 9th December in Blackhill Community Centre. KO at 8pm! All players and parents are invited along for a good night’s fun and some nice food. Lots of awards will be presented on the night such as Players Player of the year, Club Player of the Year and lots more to all age groups from U8 up to U16’s. Our annual Christmas Draw will also take place on the night and the club would like to thank all our sponsors and the local business in the town who have supported us throughout 2011.
Cavan Monaghan Development League
Our 16’s were due to play Clones Town on Sunday last but the game was called off due to the pitch being unplayable. Hopefully the game will go ahead this weekend. The U16’s are currently sitting 4th in the league table.
The U14’s played Cavan Shamrocks but the icy cold temperatures, at one stage going down to -2C got the better off them and lost 6-1. The team is currently 5th in the league table
The U12 team had a better day against Ballyhaise Celtic winning 6-1. The U12 are currently sitting top of the table so all teams are doing extremely well in their respective competitions.
Our U13 girls took time to find their feet in the Monaghan Development League but all their hard work over the last few weeks came through for them when they had their first win on Saturday last. Well done to all the girls and to Coaches Kathy and Michelle. The Girls League run non competitive matches every two weeks and are all about getting girls to enjoy playing football. There are no league tables as scores are not kept. Training is on Friday evenings from 6-7 on Our Lady’s Astro. No training this week as all the girls will be getting ready for the Presentation Night!!
