| Blayney Academy
The weather again this weekend affected most of the Academy's matches, firstly the U-15's who were due to play Killylough on Saturday was cancelled, followed by the U-18's who were schedule to play Bawnboy was also called off, this means the lads are currently sitting second in the table. The mens team who were to play Cootehill in the league cup quarter finals was also called off due to the death of a club official, Our prayers and taughts are with his family. The only team to compete this weekend was the mighty Academy Girls who defeated Dromore from Ballybay. A great goal that crashed in off the cross bar in the first half from BAFC's Louise settled a very competitive game with both teams showing great skill and teamwork. Both teams had a big turn out both in numbers and parents which made for a great atmosphere throughout the game in the new Monaghan Girls league. Congrats to all the girls and management and please remember new players only have to come down any Monday at 5.30 to Our Ladies Gym and join this great team. Team: Lauren, Amy, Louise, Clara, antonia, Eimear, Kym, Nicole, Roisin, Niamh and Hannah.
