The senior team opened their league account on Sunday with a 7-1 win over Ballyhaise in Gortakeegan. Ballyhaise started off strong with a goal in the first fifteen minutes but with Blayney
holding most of the possession it was never going to be easy for the away team. An excellent display from the whole team including the subs with their dribbling and passing skills on the astro turf was a joy to watch, The goals came from Kevin Mcmanus, Eamon Ward, John McManus and Aiden Ward. The U-15s team match against Clones town was cancelled on Saturday, the match will be
reschedule to another date.
FAI Back of the net
A great turn out of over 25 people were at the back of the net programme on Saturday, there are still a coule of weeks left for anyone who his intrested in participating,just grab your runners and come on down. Its a FREE training session every Saturday morning at 11:30, Qualified coaches are on hand to show you some warm ups and passing moves before a kickabout.
You do not need to be a member of any club to take part and we would love to see more people who may have no experience in football come down for and hour of fun and light exercise. For more information, contact Blayney Academy's Director of coaching Barry Dolan on 0868377001
