It has been another good week for the academy boys with the seniors putting in a victory(4-3) against virginia. This result has seen the boys move up into third position, great goals coming from kevin mc manus, cathal o' flaherty(pen) paudge mc kenna and francis leonard. This will hopefully build the team full of confidence for Thursdays match against Monaghan town in the capaldi cup quarter final. The u16 team has a shield semi final against lavy on saturday which is great to see after the team doing really well in their league. The u13 have a friendly this friday which gives them more practice.
Training continues at the usual times this week and with an average rate of three new players a week,joining the club,it is never a better time to join this local community soccer club.
The blayney Academy are holding a quiz night on the 28th of this month in Dignams at 8pm. All welcome 40 euro per table of four. Come and join the craic with the Academys players and families!!
