Blayney Rovers FC will hold their AGM on Wednesday next, April 13th at 8pm in Castleblayney Enterprise Centre. This will be our second AGM and the Club would ask all members parents and supporters of football in the Castleblayney area to come along and have your say in the running of the club. Over the past 2 years, the club has developed considerably and we look forward with confidence and optimism to a very successful 2011. We hope in the next few weeks to finally sign the lease on the area in Drumillard which will become the clubs home ground and will most definitely be a major asset to the club and the local community. Great progress has been made in a very short within the club and its contribution to the community is increasing all the time i.e. May Day Parade, FAI Summer Soccer School and the unforgettable Flintstones Charity Match which raised over €1000 for a local charity. The Club success so far is down to the extremely hardworking, entirely voluntary committee and coaches but any committee can only be as good as the membership of the club it represents so hopefully we will be able to welcome new blood to our committee on Wednesday night. The more the merrier! Training continues for the U12 at 5pm on Friday and 6.30 pm for the U14 in Drumillard. U10 train on Saturdays at 6.15pm on Our Lady’s Astro. U8 training will resume very shortly. |
