Interested in Wildlife?
Monaghan County Council, in association with the Irish Wildlife Trust, is organising a practical ‘how to’ evening on encouraging wildlife and biodiversity through the management of habitats. The event is set for Thursday 1st December in Iontas, Castleblayney starting at 6.45pm.
The evening will especially be of interest to community and youth groups which are undertaking environmental projects such as the creation of green spaces, tidying up waste ground etc. It will also be of interest to Tidy Towns groups, especially those who availed of last year’s training in biodiversity and mapping habitats. The information supplied on 1st December will assist in managing those habitats and should be a great aid in improving marks under the ‘wildlife & amenity’ category in the national Tidy Towns competition.
Places are limited and pre-booking is essential. You can book your place with Carol Lambe, Monaghan County Council, on 047 73725 or clambe@monaghancoco.ie
