| Former Cavan Monaghan TD Margaret Conlon has this morning confirmed that she will be contesting the Seanad Election. I want to work with the Councillors to rebuild the party both in Cavan Monaghan and further afield and I think it is important that all elected representatives are encouraged to participate in the rebuilding of the party”. “Coming from Monaghan, a county with no Fianna Fail Oireachtas Members, and a female candidate, which has been suggested to be important at this time, I want to build on my experience as a Dail Deputy and will continue to contribute to public life. I have always been available to represent the party in the media and will continue to do so. I look forward to meeting the Councillors, listening to their views and representing them in the future” concluded Margaret Conlon.
