TumbleTots playgroup values the importance of learning. Learning through play is the quickest and most natural way your child learns and is one of the most important needs your child has. The primary advantage of a playgroup centres around  the social development of the young children involved. Most of these children would otherwise have limited exposure to other similarly aged children since they are typically not enrolled in any type of school and stay at home with their caregiver most of the time. Children in playgroups have regular interaction with other young children and learn to verbally express themselves to social equals, share, and play appropriately and to develop other socially acceptable behaviours.
At TumbleTots children learn to develop their independence and social skills, playing with, and alongside their contemporaries. Some of the activities include painting, gluing, cutting, construction, drawing and imaginative play along with some pre-school activities such as learning the alphabet, shapes, colours and numbers. They learn to sit and listen to stories and sing songs. These promote hand-eye co-ordination, build self-esteem, and encourage self-expression.  TumbleTots is a friendly environment set in a purposely built room in the happy surroundings of a family home. In TumbleTots structured play and basic early learning skills are positively encouraged under the supervision of caring and qualified group leaders Majella McDonnell and Susan Brown who aim to ensure that each child receives the utmost care and attention. TumbleTots is located on the Dundalk Rd.,  Castleblayney. It is open Monday-Friday, 9.00am-1.00 pm as per primary school term. Full time and part-time places are available. There is an open day being held on Saturday the 19th of  March and everybody is welcome to come and have a look around and have a chat with proprietors Majella and Susan who will be happy to answer any questions you  may have.
