Carrickmacross man Brian Kelly struck it lucky last Saturday night when he won €50,000 on TV gameshow Winning Streak.

The popular show which is presented by Kathryn Thomas and Marty Whelan, took place in RTÉ Studios, Dublin. The five players from Down, Monaghan, Wexford, Kilkenny and Louth won prizes to the value of €239,900 on the night. Mr Kelly bought his lucky ticket in the Beaumount Hospital Shop.
