You don’t need to win the Lotto to be treated like a princess, but any young woman who enters the 2011 Monaghan Rose selection will get the royal treatment and be in with a chance to become the Rose of Tralee.

The Monaghan Rose of Tralee committee are having an information day in the Monaghan Shopping Centre this Saturday the 26^th of February from 12 noon - 5pm, information will be available on how to become a Rose, what events we have in store for all the Monaghan Rose entrants, the selection night itself and of course what is in store for the 2011 Monaghan Rose. Anyone who is thinking of applying, wishing to nominate a Rose or indeed an Escort should come in and see us.

The 2010 Monaghan Rose, Noelle Clerkin, said: “To have been chosen as the Monaghan Rose was the most exciting thing imaginable and from the moment I was selected I threw myself 100% into the role. Putting together the wardrobe was great fun and I got a lot of help from many local businesses. I was invited to many events, most of them fundraisers for very worthwhile projects.”

The County Monaghan Rose of Tralee Selection Night will take place on Easter Saturday the 23rd April in the Four Seasons Hotel and closing date for entries is the 31^st of March 2011. For more information please contact Nicola by email monaghanrose@gmail.com .
