FINAL CALL Sports First Aid Training Course –

Sat.  19^th & Sat. 26^th February (two full Saturdays must be attended)

This course has been very well received in the past and gives participants, knowledge of all basic first aid techniques and examines common injuries associated with sport and the treatment of same. The course will take place at Ballybay GAA complex over two days and cost €80 per person.

Child Protection Training Course

2011 Sports Partnership Committee

The Sports Partnership is currently reviewing its membership and will be writing out to all representative groups for nominations for the board for the term of 2011-2013. Sports Clubs should expect to receive these nomination forms and all relevant information in the next week and are asked to consider nominating people whose contribution to the development of sport and physical activity would benefit the Sports Partnership. The committee meets approximately 6–8 times per year to oversee the work of the organisation and is keen to bring people onboard who will actively work towards increasing participation in County Monaghan  across all sports and all recreational pursuits which encourage people to become, and stay, more active in their lives.

Operation Transformation 5K Fun Run - Saturday 19th February

Yes, it's the ultimate Operation Transformation and Irish Sports Council event. Dublin's Phoenix Park will provide the backdrop for the biggest fun sporting event of the season when over 5,000 people are expected to run, jog or crawl around the 5kilometre route led by the five Operation Transformation leaders.

If you haven’t already registered, places are filled for this eagerly anticipated event. Watch out for the coverage on Operation Transformation programme on your screens next Wednesday.
