Exciting opportunity for 18-24 year olds interested in Youth Work

Youth Work Ireland-Monaghan is delighted to announce that in conjunction with Youth Action Northern Ireland, there are vacancies for two Youth Work Apprentices for 18 months placed in Youth Work Ireland-Monaghan projects.  The two vacancies are part of a wider Fermanagh and the Border Areas Community Leadership programme run by Youth Action Northern Ireland.

The two successful young people should be aged 18-25 years  and will be employed for 18 The young community leaders will complete the Apprenticeship in Youth Work Level 3 while working Youth Work Ireland-Monaghan.  They will work three days a week in Youth Work Ireland-Monaghan projects and attend training with Youth Action Northern Ireland and 12 other young trainees from across Fermanagh two days a week.

 

The Community Leadership Programme (CLP) is a dynamic, innovative employment and training programme which seeks to build leadership, civic action and youth participation amongst young adults in Fermanagh and border areas. 

The Salary for these posts is £5.93 per hour and participants work 30 hours per week.  This is a unique and innovative opportunity for young people to gain experience and training while getting paid.  It is ideally suited to young people who have either no leaving certificate or were unable to progress to third level.  Interested applicants should have an interest in youth work.
