Two Monaghan   Schools St Mary's Boys National School in Monaghan. Ballybay Central School  have been shortlisted for the "Our World Irish Awards"

They are two of only eleven primary schools shortlisted out of over 700 schools that entered this year.

 St Mary’s project is entitled "Health is Wealth" and the Ballybay Central Schools project is  called "How the Millennium Goals are working in Malawi to give children there a better future"

 The Our World Irish Aid Awards which is  now in its sixth year is an annual primary schools initiative which encourages primary school pupils

to create  development issues through art, drama essays, film and music.

 The Awards will take place in Dublin Castle on February 17th where the overall winner will be announced
