THE talented children of St. Mary’s N.S, Glaslough recently presented a cheque for €1366.20 to local Glaslough girl Nicola Hackett who was the 2009 Monaghan Rose of The money raised will go to the worthy ‘Make A Wish Foundation.’ The school children entered a design competition to create a dress for the Roses and a bow tie for the Escorts. The winners of the competition received a prize and two lucky children have been chosen to attend the Monaghan Rose and Escort Competition 2010 which will be held in the Glencarn Hotel, Castleblayney on Sunday evening. The presentation of the cheque will be made to Mairead McCreesh, the Monaghan ‘Make A Wish’ volunteer from Monaghan. Congratulations are extended to the staff, children and parents of St. Mary’s N.S, Glaslough for their help in supporting a most deserving cause. |
