| By Cianna McNally A CHARITY soccer match in aid of St Mary’s Hospital in Castleblayney is set to take place this Sunday, 16 May. Shenanigan’s ‘Dream (on) Team’ will take on Cathal’s ‘Down and Outs’ on the astro turf playing pitch beside the Iontas Centre in Castleblayney at 2pm on Sunday. In an attempt to add a bit of craic and colour to what is sure to be an entertaining and memorable day, all players will be kitted out in fancy dress with prizes for the best dressed. Sponsorship cards have been going around the town for some time now and collectors will be going around on the day so people are asked to give generously as all funds will go to the Patient Comfort Fund in St Mary’s Hospital. There will be a barbeque after the game in Shenanigans. Everybody is more than welcome to come along and be entertained and organiser Paul Finnegan from Shenanigans is urging people to come and show their support on the day for a local worthy cause. |
