HAPPY Heart weekend takes place this Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The Irish Heart Foundation is holding collections around the county including on Main Street, Castleblayney. A Happy Heart costs just €2 and collectors are asking local people to donate to the worthwhile cause and help save lives from sudden cardiac death.

Every €2 will go towards resuscitation programmes all over the country. The Irish Heart Foundation’s Happy Heart Weekend is being supported by well-known Irish celebrities Brian Kennedy and Marty Whelan.
