County Fleadh Entries Closing Date

THE closing date for anyone wishing to compete in this year's Monaghan County Fleadh is Monday next, 10 May.

All competitors must have their completed entry forms plus fleadh fees given to County Secretary Mary Kirke, by Monday night's County Board meeting at 8pm in Scotstown. Comhaltas branches are asked to ensure that their delegates to the County Board have their completed fleadh sheets and entry fee money with them to give to Ms Kirke at Monday's meeting. Any entries received after the meeting can not be accepted. The Monaghan Fleadh competitions will take place in Scotstown on Saturday, 5 June.

Craobh Éamonn Ó Muirí hosts Fleadh Cheoil Mhuineacháin from 3 – 6 June in Scotstown.

Thursday 3 June: Bilingual Quiz at 8.30pm in Halla Mhuire.

Friday 4 June: Lecture on local musician Francie McKenna who died in 1975 from Mícheál Ó Ruanaidh. There will also be a Workshop and Recital at 8.30pm in Halla Mhuire.

Saturday 5 June: All Fleadh Competitions in Urbleshanny N.S commencing at 10am.

Sunday 6 June: Seisiún and Ceilí na nÓg at 3pm in Halla Mhuire
