| There was great excitement at Our Lady’s Secondary School from early this morning as the Class of 2010 collected their Leaving Certificate Results. Smiling faces, rapid calculations, hugs and congratulations were the order of the day. Leading the celebrations was an ecstatic Ciaran Costello with an incredible 7 A1s yielding the maximum 600 points. He was closely followed by Vanessa Flack & Mark Mc Mahon who each scored 590 points. In all 7 of the class secured over 550 points with 11 getting over 500. Many teachers joined in the celebrations of what was a truly remarkable morning. Principal Gerard Mc Guill congratulated all the students on their excellent results and stated that they were very well deserved as these students were an exceptional group of young people. He was particularly pleased that despite predictions in the National papers the Maths results in Our Lady’s were exceptionally good & way above the National Average. Mr Mc Guill wished the students well in their chosen career paths & also took the opportunity to thank all the teachers for their tremendous efforts on behalf of the students. |
