They are currently arriving in their droves to the quiet town of Newbliss, Co Monaghan to experience PáircFEST 2010!

This inimitable rock festival will see the best tribute bands in the country take to the stage in a one day event which will take place this Saturday, 17 July. Locals are delighted to see music lovers (and sports fanatics) travelling to the area in anticipation of the weekend ahead. Darren Greenan, chairman of Killeevan Sarsfields GAA club said, “We are looking forward to a great day’s entertainment in Newbliss, the day before the Ulster Football final, just four miles down the road in Clones. With the provision of the camping facilities we hope people will come to our event, camp overnight before heading into Clones the next morning for the big match!”

The Bon Jovi Experience, our very own Knights of Leon and none other than AZ/DZ will make history by taking to the stage in Sarsfield Park. No other stage in the country will have such a combination of great classics on stage this Saturday. Up and coming Irish bands will be supporting the main acts. First up will be Raw Dawgs, followed by Gascan Ruckus and finally Speedking will rock the stage. All in all it is a packed line-up that is guaranteed to please music lovers of all ages.

Gates open at 1pm with bands taking to the stage at 3pm. This event will have alcohol onsite; therefore I.D. is strictly required for entry. There is also camping available, which can be booked on the day of the event on production of a valid wristband. See PáircFEST website for details.
