Clare Crusaders are Carrick Bound
Friday, 09 July 2010 12:08

Irish charity workers who are set to cycle the four provinces of Ireland will arrive in Carrickmacross on Friday next, 16 July.

The Clare Crusaders is a charity from Co. Clare which provides free therapy to 120 children with special needs. This year the Clare Crusaders Cycling Club is cycling the ‘Four Provinces of Ireland’. They will depart Ennis on Thursday, 15 July and have chosen The Shirley Arms in Carrickmacross to be their base for Friday, 16 July.

The club members will be cycling 400 miles in four days and would really appreciate if people would turn out on the street to give them support and encouragement when they arrive in a town. 30 cyclists and support crew will be arriving in Carrickmacross via Shercock at approximately 6pm on Friday next. Everyone is welcome to give the Clare Crusaders a great Carrick ‘Céad Míle Fáilte and to watch out for them when they leave on the Saturday morning at 9.30am, heading for Birr in Co Offaly.
