![]() Europe’s main supplier of Cultured Stone, Fernhill Stone has completed a €250,000 contract with a construction and civil engineering company in Sweden.
Awarded last January, the nine-month contract was for the provision of stone cladding for a castle in a children’s theme park in the city of Vimmerby in southern Sweden.
Fernhill Stone supplied 2,500 square metres of stone cladding for a 10,000 sq ft castle in the Astrid Lindgren’s World theme park.
“Our client wanted stone cladding in order to get the ‘natural look’ of an old castle,” said Meredith Jackson, managing director, Fernhill Stone.
“Given the economic climate over the past year, we were delighted to secure this contract. In the current climate, it is a must that companies do not just sit back and wait for things to change, but that they go out and win in new markets,” he added.
“We are extremely delighted with both the product and the service provided by Fernhill Stone and we recommend the company highly,” said Per Lagercrantz, project manager, Peab Sverige AB.
Fernhill Stone specialise in stone cladding for internal and external locations. The company stocks a large range of stones varying in styles, colours and textures.
Existing customers include Domino’s Pizza, Lidl, Brains pubs and Wetherspoons. Fernhill Stone has a strong customer base across Ireland and the UK. Since completing this contract, it has secured more projects abroad in Germany, the Czech Republic and Dubai.
