Penalty Challenge at Mon Utd Summer Camp

The FAI and Airtricity, proud sponsors of the Airtricity League,  have joined together to give four lucky, young footballers the chance to show off their penalty skills during the historic opening game in the Aviva Stadium – the  Airtricity Challenge between a representative Airtricity League XI and the mighty Manchester United on Wednesday, 4 August.

Each skilful young footballer will compete in front of a capacity crowd of over 50,000 football fans at half time during the highly-anticipated Airtricity Challenge for the title of the Airtricity Penalty Challenge Champion.

Open to football fans under the age of 15, the Airtricity Penalty Challenge will be run in conjunction with Airtricity League Clubs, with each hosting a club challenge open to young players in their respective areas. Club winners will then progress to regional finals, with the winners of the four regional finals competing in the Grand Final at the Aviva Stadium on 4 August during the clash between the Airtricity League XI and Manchester United.

The Monaghan United Airtricity Penalty Challenge will take place at the Monaghan United Summer Camp which takes place at Gortakeegan from Monday, 5 July until Friday, 9 July. The winner of the Monaghan United Airtricity Penalty Challenge will be given a ‘Family Ticket’ courtesy of Airtricity, Ireland’s cheapest energy provider, to see the Airtricity League XI take on Manchester United and will also be entered into the regional finals.
