![]() The Cookery demonstration and Food fare which took place in the Glencarn Hotel on Thursday evening last was a resounding success, with patrons being treated to lots of food tastings during the course of the night. A special word of thanks to the Glencarn Hotel for putting their premises at our disposal and to their Head Chef Kevin Drayne who made some mouthwatering dishes. Thanks also to Romina from La Cantina, Dundalk and to Kam Lam, Royal Jade, Castleblayney, Newry and Dundalk, who touched on the Chinese side of the World.
We were very grateful to the exhibiters who displayed their produce on the night including : Mulberry Meadow Organic Farm (Marti Brennan), Pollock’s Pickles Monaghan, McArdle Meats who launched a new range of low-fat meats, Cake and Crumb (gluten-free bakes), Sinead Townsend (Cake decorating), Kashmere Kitchen (mouth-watering tray bakes), Puddleduck Lane (home-made jams and preserves) and Kirk’s Seafood also an exibit from the pampered chef collection and scentsy wickless candles, all of whom donated generous gifts for a raffle.
