Youth Work Ireland Monaghan Youth Information Service has highlighted the fact that the Student Grant Application Forms 2010/2011 are available on www.studentfinance.ie.

A printed version of the forms can be acquired for a small fee in the three Youth Information Centre’s in Castleblayney, Carrickmacross and Monaghan. Forms are to be submitted to Monaghan V.E.C or Monaghan County Council who are the awarding bodies, by the initial closing date of 12 July 2010 or by the final closing date of 31 August 2010. A spokesperson commented, “Although 31 August may seem a long time away, there are certain documents which need to be submitted with the application, which may take time to get hold of, so the sooner you act on the application the better.”

Students applying for the grant who have difficulty with the form or are unsure of any part of the application, are invited to call into any of the three Youth Information Centres in County Monaghan. Youth Work Ireland-Monaghan’s Youth Information Service is part-funded by the Office of the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs. The Castleblayney office is on York Street, the Carrickmacross office can be found on O’Neill Street and the Monaghan office is located on Dawson Street. Opening hours are Monday – Thursday from 10am - 6pm and on Friday from 10am – 5pm.
