Panic Sound And What They Have Done Recently
Thursday, 08 September 2011 08:43
Panic Sound and Light supplied the sound and lighting system in the
Fleadh Dome, a huge marquee that seated 2000 people. The first concert
there was Sharon Shannon, featuring Desi Donnelly. The Dome was packed
and the sound system (for you techies-Nexo Geo S12) worked well.
Later in the week Irish group Ciorras performed. This group was put
together by Donal Lunny for a recent TV series. It featured young
musicians who are all on top of their game. It was a super lively and
energetic performance, and once again the Dome was full of
enthusiastic music lovers.
The final concert was on the Monday night and Frankie Gavin and The
New De Dannan were the headline act. It is a pleasure to be working
with musicians of this calibre, and they praised the sound system
highly, and the staff from Panic Sound, for our professionalism, and
for the way in which we got through the sound check, with no problems.
Many audience members also commented on the high quality of sound at
this event.
Panic Sound and Light also provided the system at The Gig Rig in The
Egg Market. Here we used a smaller line array system, the Vortexion
LA1. This, along with an Allen and Heath mixing desk, made sure that
the crowds could hear what was going on.
The Blues Festival went well too, where Panic Sound and Light provided
the system for The Main Stage, and The Acoustic stage in the marquee.
This weekend will be The Famine Commemmoration Ceremony in Clones.
Panic Sound and Light have been chosen to provide the sound system for
this important event, which will be attended by President Mary Mc
Aleese. Panic is also organising the supply of the stage, a generator,
a lighting tower and crowd control barriers.
