Happy Paws Pet Day is a joint fundraising effort between Carrick Dog Shelter and Íontas, Castleblayney Arts & Community Resource Centre that will take place at Íontas on Saturday, 19 June.

The public are invited to come along on the day with their pets to show their support as it promises to be fun-filled. While this is a light hearted event responsible pet ownership and animal welfare will also be promoted. Carrick Dog Shelter will be promoting the option of dog adoption, which in turn reduces the hundreds of dogs destroyed in Ireland each week.

Íontas which is hosting the event will be raising awareness of the importance of the role of the community in preventing cruelty to dogs. To enter a dog in the Fun Dog Show please call 042 9753407.
