Blayney Rover swept the boards at the recent CMUL presentation night held in Crover House Hotel in Mount Nugent picking up two of the most coveted awards in the Cavan Monaghan League.
CLUB OF THE YEAR
The club was voted Club of the Year 2011 which is a great honor and a testament to all the hard work the players, coaches and committee have put in over the last number of months.  The vote took place at the last CMUL meeting and was voted by representatives of all 19 clubs in Cavan and Monaghan.   Gerry Arrowsmith, Chairperson of the League said he was delighted that Blayney Rovers had won and that the club truly deserved the award for its conduct on and off the playing field, its attendance and participation at meetings and its willingness to promote, encourage and develop its members skills by involving members in the Emerging Talent Programme.  The award was presented to Annette Hanley, Club Secretary by John Morling, U17 Ireland International Manager.
TEAM OF THE YEAR
The club brought home a second award when the U12 team won joint Team of the Year for 2011.  The U12 team won the Monaghan section of the League and reached the semi final of the Premiership.  The award was presented to coaches Sean Plummer and Eddie Noakes and again was presented by John Morling, U17 Ireland International Manager.
