![]() Freda Hearty and the Carrickmacross Dance Kids returned to An Táin Theatre for the second time on June 15, 2011 and delighted audiences with their latest show ‘Rock the Beat’. The talented Dance Kids aged from just four years danced and sang their hearts out with delighted audiences declaring it “the best show yet”. On the night, the enchanted audience was transported to the Sahara Desert on a magic flying carpet with Aladdin and Jasmine and the cast of Aladdin, where they were entertained by Arabian dancers, evil Jafer, the genie of the lamp and the forty thieves. The night of entertainment also included excerpts from the hit TV series Glee as well as songs from High School Musical and Michael Jackson. If that wasn’t enough there was also a special appearance from Jedward and a gang of mini-Jedwards who performed to the hit single ‘under pressure’, which had the audience clapping and singing along. After six months of hard work and a show-stopping performance from the Carrickmacross Dance Kids, an exhausted but delighted Freda Hearty said “I am absolutely thrilled with how well the show turned out. Allthe kids and Carrickmacross Dance Kids crew worked so hard. Its all about having fun and we had so much fun during ‘Rock the Beat’.
