![]() Carrickmacross Lions Club President Michael Murphy has launched a search to find the school that can locate and round up the most sets of twins, triplets, or quadruplets and deliver them to The Carrickmacross Lions Club Twin(s) + Parade on Saturday 4th June 2011. All schools both primary and post primary are invited to take part. The school represented with the highest number of Twins and Multiples in the parade gets to lead the event and claim the €1000 bounty. So far Lisdoonan National School is leading the way with four sets of twins all eager to take part in the Parade which this year is sponsored by Healthy Hearts, Healthy Lives, a company that offers mobile Cardiac Screening to sports clubs. This year the Twin’s Parade is being extended to include all multiple births, including triplets and quadruplets - so you won't just see double this year! The competition is not limited to school pupils but is open to all Twins and Multiples including past pupils, family, relatives and friends. There are 3 simple steps to claim the €1000 for the winning school. Students should round up all the Twins and Multiples that they know. Get them to pre-register for the parade at www.carrickmacross.ie and finally get them to the parade on Saturday 4th June at 3pm. The Lions Club have also organised a Disney themed family orientated multiple band concert on the Friday night before the Parade. Online registration is now open at www.carrickmacross.ie and the organisers expect to beat last year’s record of 231 sets of Twins. All the proceeds of the Parade will go to support charitable causes.
