Miss Blue Jeans. As many of you are aware. The annual Blue Jeans Country Festival takes place in Athboy Co. Meath over the June Bank Holiday weekend. I’m sure there are very few Macra members who have not enjoyed the festival first hand but for those new members out there I can assure you that it is one of the best Macra festivals with plenty happening over the four days. This year’s festival promises to be bigger and better than ever! With that in mind there was strong competition in the county competing for the Monaghan Queen title which was held in Annaghmullen recently. After much deliberation Katriona Lennon from Lough Egish was crowned winner. We wish her all the best as she prepares for the festival over the coming weeks.
Lough Egish Macra will host a club fundraiser on May 21st in the social centre, Annaghmullen. All clubs are encouraged to attend the event to welcome our newest club to Monaghan.
