The Annual May Day Parade will commence at 3.00pm Bank Holiday Monday 2nd May.
The Parade will be opened by Liam Mc Grath. We are absolutely delighted that Liam Mc Grath is our Grand Marshall and will accept our Very Special “Honour Award” in our May Day Community Festival Parade.

The Parade which includes a variety of street performers, numerous floats made by local schools and business and up to ten marching bands, many of which have travelled from all over the Country.
Followed by one of the main attractions “beat on the street” with the infamous “Fuzzy Burgers” who will be performing on the “Gig Rig” Main Street, Castleblayney at 3pm.

Large crowds from both sides of the border are expected to converge in the town on the day. With the promise of lots of fun and entertainment for the whole family. So let’s come together, businesses, schools and all organisations to show community spirit.

The May Day Parade is organised each year by the local Chamber of Commerce.

All participating floats, walking groups, vintage cars, bands, etc are asked to assemble at the Glencarn Car Park at 2.00pm.

Don’t miss this FREE opportunity to advertise your business.

Those wishing to take part in Parade are asked to please contact Patrick McFadden (President of Castleblayney Chamber of Commerce) on 042 97-46666.

With special thanks to Shabra Group for supporting this event.
