| Free Information Day for Food Sector
Monaghan County Council through the County Development Board are holding a free one day seminar entitled Information day on Funding and Support for Monaghan food sector and related companies.
The event will take place as follows:
Venue: The Hillgrove Hotel, Monaghan
Date: Wed Oct 5, 2011
Time: From 9am – 4:30pm
Shane McEntee, TD, Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine with special responsibility for Food Safety, Forestry and Horticulture will give the Opening Address.
The aim of the seminar is to provide companies operating in the Monaghan food sector with an overall view and information on the supports and funding available to help them sustain and grow their enterprises. The seminar will be of value to both established and start up companies but will also benefit those with a new business idea in the food sector.
Participants will have a unique opportunity to listen to what the support agencies have to offer and to meet and discuss their individual needs and requirements with the agency staff. The seminar will also provide opportunities to network and interact with other food sector companies from Monaghan.
The following organisations will make presentations at the seminar and be available for both group and individual discussions.
o Monaghan County Enterprise Board
o Enterprise Ireland
o Bord Bia
o InterTrade Ireland
o DkIT ICE programme
o Teagasc
o There will also be case study presentations from a large and a small company that have benefited from funding supports.
The agency stands will be manned throughout the day by the relevant staff who will be available to answer questions from the participants.
