Summer is all about looking fresh faced and healthy and the best way to do this is to have some make-up staples that are effortless to use and not too heavy on your skin.
1. A light and creamy concealer Rather than using a heavy foundation opt for a lightweight and creamy concealer and target key areas such as around the eyes and red patches of skin. Concealers with tea tree oil are best if you’re covering up spots as tea tree is a natural anti-bacterial which will reduce redness. 2. Powder Bronzer Bronzers are a great way of giving your skin a healthy glow without the hassle of fake tan. The best way to use a bronzer is to use a large brush and lightly sweep it across your face, in particular the forehead and cheeks, places that get the most sun naturally. 3. Pastel Eyeshadows Heavy, smoky eyeshadows are great in the winter but the summer calls for something altogether more natural. Light pinks and purples will compliment your summer wardrobe and will make you look bright eyed and healthy. 4. Pink/Peachy blush Blush will give your skin a natural flushed look even if you choose to forego the rest of your make up. When you are putting on blush smile to raise your cheeks as much as possible and sweep the blush on the highest point of our cheeks with a large brush. This creates a high-cheekboned effect. 5. Lip Balm with SPF Whether or not you wear make up during the summer you should always have a lip balm to hand. The skin on your lips is just as likely to get sunburnt as the rest of your face so it’s important to choose a lip balm with sun protection.
