By Jane Ward Our feet are without a doubt the most neglected part of our bodies. Running around town in killer-heels, pounding around in heavy runners or being hid away under thick wooly socks. If you want to give your tootsies a bit of pampering this at-home treatment is an inexpensive and easy way to relax and have some pampering time to yourself. Exfoliating Foot Scrub If your feet are especially dry you can try our recipe for a homemade hand and foot scrub. Simply scrub your feet with the mixture but instead of finishing with moisturiser you can make this Oatmeal foot soak to dip your feet in and relax. Making the Foot Soak Fill a large basin with hot water and add a cup full of ground rolled oats, half a cup of baking soda and half a cup of chamomile tea. Leave the ingredients to mix for a few minutes and add cold water if the temperature is too hot. Soak your feet and relax for as long as you need. Gently pat your feet dry and massage in some nourishing foot moisturiser. Tuck your feet into some cosy socks to keep in the moisture and relax. Hot chocolate optional. Tips Scented moisturisers are a nice way to end the foot soak. Lavendar moisturiser at night will help you relax, citrus moisturisers will put a spring in your step and peppermint ones will freshen up tired toes. Scented candles, relaxing music and even sprinkling flower petals on the surface of the water will create a relaxing ambiance.
