| Scrubbing your hands and feet will remove dead skin cells and leave you with soft, touchable skin. This scrub can be made with items you have around the house and is inexpensive and effective.
Making the Scrub Mix 3 tablespoons of olive oil into a small bowl of sugar and stir it together. Add a couple of spoonfuls of cool water and stir further to remove lumps. The scrub will be effective at this stage however if you like you can add a couple of drops of essential oil to scent the scrub.
Using the Scrub Put a teaspoon of the scrub on your hands and rub in a circular motion until your skin feels soft. If your skin starts to sting or burn don’t rub any further. Rinse your hands under warm water, as cold will not dissolve the oil properly. Gently towel dry your hands and apply moisturiser.
Tips This scrub it only for the hands, feet and elbows. It’s not suitable for the skin on your face as the sugar is too sharp and the oil may clog pores. Vanilla extract from your cooking cupboard can be used as a fragrance The mixture can be made with white or brown sugar or salt as well.
