 Gardaí in Dundalk are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of a missing 20-year-old.
Gavin Sheelan, from Annaloughan, Co Louth, was last seen at his home at 8am on 3 January.
He is described as being 5'11'' in height, of thin build, with brown hair and blue eyes.
When last seen he was wearing a black jacket, woollen hat, blue jeans and runners.
Due to proximity to the border, it is also possible that Gavin is in Northern Ireland.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact gardaí at Dundalk on 042-9335577.
Appeal to trace missing 17-year-old
Gardaí in Dublin have issued an appeal to trace a 17-year-old girl who has been missing since Monday.
Jessica Mooney, who is from the Dublin 9 area, was last seen in the O'Connell Street area of the city centre on 2 January.
She is 5'4" of medium build with brown shoulder length hair, blue eyes and has a pale complexion.
When last seen Jessica was wearing a white long sleeved top, dark leggings and was carrying a holdall bag.

Tallaght teenager missing
Meanwhile, gardaí at Tallaght are anxious to trace the whereabouts of 17-year-old Maryam Moustafa.
Maryam was last seen in the Tallaght area on Tuesday 3 January.
She is described as being 5' 6" with brown eyes and of medium build.
