Chevron Training launches Ireland’s first Mobile Energy and Environmental
Training Unit at the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) Energy
Show 2011.

Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, Pat Rabbitte officially launched
the SEAI Energy Show 2011 today, where Chevron Training unveiled Ireland’s first mobile
energy and environmental mobile training unit.
The multi award winning training provider, which has invested heavily in developing a fleet
of mobile training vehicles, can utilise this next generation training venue to provide certified
energy and environmental training courses, including water meter installer training, to
learners nationwide.
“The nationwide demand for our career focused training programmes illustrated the need for
us to develop a facility which would satisfy this demand”, stated Karl Fitzpatrick, Sales and
Marketing Director with Chevron Training. Mr. Fitzpatrick acknowledged the benefits which
this innovative training venue can deliver for participants by saying that “this next generation
energy and environmental training unit can deliver practical training to learners throughout
the 26 counties, which eliminates the substantial travel and accommodation costs that can
act as barriers for learners who wish to complete training courses”.
This training facility is equipped with state of the art technologies which have been designed
and implemented in accordance with industry body requirements to create an environment
which facilitates the acquisition of practical skills which are sought by employers within
Ireland’s energy and environmental industries.
