Wine & cheese reception followed by screening of ‘PYJAMA GIRLS’

Pyjama Girls presents the chaotic friendship of Irish teenagers Lauren and Tara as they navigate the trials of life, dressed all the while in their uniform of rebellion: pyjamas.

Maya Derrington, director of ‘Pyjama Girls’ will officially open Clones Film Festival 2010.

Music afterwards by Clara Rose in the Festival Club.

AN CUPLA CORR – an evening with John & Tommy McArdle

Documentary on local heroes, the McArdle twins, by award-winning Monaghan director Dara McCluskey. Interview with the McArdle brothers and Dara McCluskey following the film.

CIRCUS BORN

Fascinating documentary about a year in the life of Ireland’s national circus family, the Fossetts by Matt Skinner, who will be in attendance.

Coming-of-age drama set in the 1970s Northern Soul underground music scene, directed by Shimmy Marcus, who will be in attendance.

ONE HUNDRED MORNINGS 

Starring Fermanagh's Ciaran McMenamin and set in a world upended by a complete breakdown of society, two couples hide out in a lakeside cabin hoping to survive this crisis. Directed by Conor Horgan, who will be in attendance.

THE HAMELY TONGUE

This documentary follows Belfast Irish speaker Seimí MacAindreasa as he uncovers the hidden culture (the Cultúr Ceilte of the title) of Ulster Scots – examining its radical history, and the many contemporary activities that make Ulster Scots a living and dynamic culture in revival. Directed by Deaglán Ó Mocháin, who will be in attendance.

Directed by Brendan Muldowney, this feature is an exploration of masculinity and violence. A story of obsession and revenge, as a man tries to come to terms with a brutal, random attack and its consequences.
