Monaghanlife.ie is a new online newspaper for County Monaghan which was launched on Friday, 30 April 2010. The brainchild of Monaghan man Fintan Gallagher, monaghanlife.ie is a newspaper website which aims to promote the county in a positive light.

Bursting with news and views from Carrickmacross to Carrickroe, sections in Monaghan’s newest online paper will include sport, motoring, property, beauty and much more. Fintan is no stranger to the media business as he has previously worked as a Sales Manager for the Sligo Post newspaper which is part of the well known RiverMedia group. He also has considerable experience in the retail and hospitality industry.

The idea to set up monaghanlife.ie came about when Fintan who has been unemployed since May 2009 completed a Start Your Own Business Course with Monaghan Integrated Development. Working in conjunction with Julie Clarke from Monaghan Integrated Development and Briege Quinn from Monaghan County Enterprise Board, monaghanlife.ie began to take shape.
